Senior Fullstack Engineer (m/f/d), Bregenz
What we stand for:
Standing still? Not us. We believe: Everything is BETA – including this very thought. Nothing is perfect, nothing lasts forever, and everything can get better. That’s why we question the status quo – including what we’ve built ourselves – dare to try new things and actively shape our clients’ digital transformation: end-to-end, from strategic consulting to implementation, for B2B champions in the DACH region.
And now it’s your turn: We’re not looking for specialists who fit a single box, but for engineers who see the bigger picture – from the database schema to the client workshop. With us, you unfold your talents, contribute your knowledge, and learn from others.
Your Mission:
Architecture & development
- Together with clients, you design architectures that solve their digital challenges, and you implement them
- You build web applications and composable/headless architectures, modules independently in both frontend and backend – products that are in international use every day
- You build composable and headless architectures – in the content space mainly with Storyblok or Contentful, complemented by commerce/PIM platforms such as Spryker, Emporix, or Pimcore. What matters isn’t the individual platform, but that you think and build composable and framework-based rather than purely custom
- You naturally take on backend tasks too: data models, interfaces, web service integrations, database setups
Infrastructure & operations
- You build and operate the infrastructure behind your applications: cloud setups (ideally AWS), Docker, server configuration
- You design CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitLab) and set up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
- You make sure your solutions don’t just run, but are actually operable
Quality & standards
- You follow our coding and architecture guidelines and actively evolve our quality and development standards
- You’re a knowledge holder for our key technologies and evolve cross-team extensions, tools, and workflows – what you build makes everyone faster
- You test new tools and platforms, evaluate their production-readiness, and roll them out in the team when they add real value
- You work AI-assisted in your daily workflow (e.g., with Claude Code) and evolve this way of working together with us
Client & team
- You contribute to workshops and concept development – you recognise client needs and find the right solution instead of just working through tickets
- You communicate directly with clients and translate between business requirements and technical solutions
- You mentor junior colleagues and coordinate solutions with other seniors
You can score points with the following:
Engineering experience & stack
- At least 4 years of experience in fullstack development or a comparable role in a digital environment – frontend and backend, with no hesitation in either direction
- Professional software development is a craft for you: clean code, SOLID, separation of concerns, design patterns, testing
- You’re broadly familiar with our stack – nobody has to know everything:
- Backend: PHP (Symfony, Twig, Composer), MySQL/PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch
- Frontend: JavaScript/TypeScript (ES6+), React or Vue, HTML5, CSS3, Webpack/npm
- Composable/headless: experience with at least one headless/composable platform (e.g. Storyblok, Contentful). Commerce/PIM platforms such as Spryker, Emporix or Pimcore are a plus – we’re deliberately not looking for a pure single-platform specialisation.
- A degree in computer science/multimedia is an advantage – self-taught people with demonstrable hands-on experience are just as welcome
Infrastructure & cloud
- A solid understanding of infrastructure: Docker, Nginx/Apache, server setups, deployment processes
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, or similar) and good cloud knowledge, ideally AWS
Way of working & mindset
- AI isn’t a buzzword for you but an everyday tool: you already work agentically (e.g., with Claude Code) or want to learn it rigorously
- Curiosity about new web technologies and conceptual understanding: you think from the business goal, not from the line of code
- Ownership: you take responsibility for outcomes, not just for tasks – results-oriented, with an eye for detail and the pragmatism to occasionally let things slide
- Self-assurance and the ability to handle conflict: you stand by your technical position even against resistance and stay with it when things get tough
Communication
- You enjoy working with clients – you perform well with clients and in the team, confident in workshops, and clear in coordination
- Very good German or very good English skills (for our Polish colleagues: fluent English for client communication)
Nice to have
- AWS certification
- Experience with microservice architectures for end-user systems
- Initial leadership or technical lead experience
- Experience in an agency or consulting environment with parallel client projects
- Knowledge of commerce and PIM data models
What we need from you:
- Your CV
- What compensation do you have in mind for your performance
- Your notice period or possible start date

The stated range covers all salary components and is to be understood as a target salary (e.g., including variable components or further benefits, where applicable). Should we work together, we'll put together an individual offer for you – your grading within the range is based on your skills, your area of responsibility, and your experience, never on your previous salary.
In line with the EU Pay Transparency Directive (2023/970) and the country-specific equal treatment laws, we publish the salary range for every role and do not ask candidates about their current or previous salary. Our criteria for setting pay – cluster, level, skills, area of responsibility, and experience – apply uniformly across the entire company. Throughout the whole process, you can request further information about the salary range for this role or about our compensation policy in writing at any time.
